Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Abingdon, MD is seeking a part-time Sushi Prep team member to join our store kitchen. You will help prepare fresh, high-quality sushi and assist customers with made-to-order items in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

You will train with experienced sushi chefs, learning traditional techniques and ensuring timely, accurate preparation while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. Evening availability and weekend shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice
• Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely preparation
• Uphold excellent food presentation and customer satisfaction
