Job summary

Sokai Sushi Bar in Miami is seeking a team member with experience in food service and sushi preparation, to follow recipes and uphold high standards. The right candidate will be familiar with sushi, sashimi, and other dishes, and understand hygiene and safety rules.

Applicants must stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and be able to work weekends, holidays, and late shifts. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience on food service and sushi preparation following recipes to high standards.
• Experience making sushi, sashimi and other dishes in compliance with recipes and high standards at Restaurant.
• Understanding of hygiene and food & beverage safety rules.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Stand/walk/bend for extended periods of time.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Work as team player and be multitasking.
• Able to follow instructions given.
• Knowledge of any other cuisine (cold and hot stations) is a plus.
