Qualifications

• Experience as a sushi chef or similar role.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Expertly cut, slice, and fillet fish.
• Inspect produce and seafood quality; notify Executive Chef if quality is sub-standard.
• Prepare various sushi dishes according to guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
• Maintain a clean work environment to prevent contamination.
• Regularly take inventory of food supplies and products.
• Report problems with kitchen equipment to the manager on duty.
• Sterilize utensils, instruments, and equipment before use.
• Communicate with wait staff to accommodate special requests and allergies.
