Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Nashville, TN seeks a Survey Project Manager to lead surveying projects and coordinate field crews. You will ensure on-time delivery within budget, manage client expectations, and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes proposal development, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and planning teams. A strong PM mindset and field survey background are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
• 7+ years land surveying experience including party chief level.
• PM experience preferred; strong client-facing skills.
• Knowledge of surveying field procedures and ALTA/ACSM surveys.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and Carlson.

Responsibilities

• Meet with prospective clients, prepare proposals, and establish budgets and schedules.
• Maintain liaison with clients to resolve questions on technical and billing matters.
• Oversee all surveying and mapping activities and review contract changes.
• Provide day-to-day field support and coordinate survey CAD technicians.
• Define project scopes, monitor progress, and ensure schedules are met.
• Prepare project status reports and maintain essential survey records.
• Ensure projects stay within budget and assist with marketing presentations.
• Provide technical assistance for design issues and coordinate with client.
• Act as primary contact to coordinate surveying and mapping services.
