Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced, licensed Survey Project Manager to lead land surveying efforts across Southern California, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, and subdivision projects. A California P.L.S.

license is required. You will organize field crews, prepare deliverables (ALTA maps, legal descriptions, subdivision plans), market work, and manage schedules while upholding quality and safety.

Qualifications

• California P.L.S. license required.
• Ability to lead field and office teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and surveying knowledge across multiple project types.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and directs field survey crews on boundary, topographic, ALTA, and subdivision projects.
• Calculates and analyzes field data; supports crews on complex survey engagements.
• Prepares ALTA's, subdivision maps, legal descriptions and construction staking calculations.
• Markets new work, builds client relationships, and participates in proposals.
• Manages project schedule, delegates tasks, and reviews deliverables.
