  • GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) technology provides precise positioning information using satellites.
  • Robotic total stations are advanced equipment used in surveys that automatically track targets for accurate measurements.

Job description

Job Summary The candidate will work as a Survey Project Manager, overseeing land surveying projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. They will manage teams, coordinate field activities, review technical deliverables, and maintain strong client relationships.

Even Simpler: The job is for someone who leads projects that measure land and makes maps. This person manages teams to make sure everything is done correctly and keeps in touch with clients.

Skill Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Strong knowledge of land surveying principles including boundary, topographic, and construction surveying
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with modern survey technologies like GNSS and robotic total stations
  • Ability to interpret plats, deeds, easements
  • Proven ability to lead survey teams

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Virginia surveying standards
  • Experience using Trimble Business Center
