Job summary

The International Erosion Control Association seeks a Senior Survey Manager to lead surveying operations across private land development and public works in Southern California. You will oversee project delivery, mentor teams, manage client relationships, and drive project success.

You will provide technical direction, maintain CAD deliverables, coordinate with agencies and contractors, and shape process improvements while advancing business development.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive land surveying experience.
• Experience with private land development and public works in California.
• Strong leadership and client-facing skills.
• Advanced proficiency with CAD and survey software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee surveying operations, project delivery, staffing, and workflow.
• Manage key client relationships and serve as primary contact on major projects.
• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and guidance to survey teams.
• Plan budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for projects.
• Review proposals, cost estimates, and project scopes.
• Ensure quality control of survey deliverables including CAD drawings and boundary analyses.
• Coordinate with public agencies, consultants, and contractors.
• Drive process improvements and business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of California surveying standards and municipal requirements
• Proven ability to manage complex survey projects from start to finish
• Strong client-facing and business development skills
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey-related software
