Job summary

Leoforce in Riverside, CA is seeking an experienced Survey Manager to lead our mapping team on landmark Southern California projects. A California PLS license is required and you will supervise staff and coordinate with clients.

You will manage CAD deliverables, boundary analyses, ALTA surveys, and ensure compliance with the Subdivision Map Act and related codes, while mentoring junior staff and meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.
• 5+ years of office mapping experience on private land development or public works projects.
• Knowledge of the California Subdivision Map Act, Professional Surveyors Act, and local Civil Codes.
• Proven leadership and communication skills to manage staff, clients, and deadlines.
• Experience in preparing CAD drawings including boundary surveys, topographic maps, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and subdivision maps.
• Experience processing deliverables with City and County agencies.
• Background in project management, business development, proposal writing, estimating, scheduling, and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor staff on landmark projects throughout Southern California.
• Oversee mapping research, boundary analysis, calculations, and preparation of exhibits and legal descriptions.
• Manage client relationships and multiple project deadlines, ensuring quality CAD deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners to turn visions into reality on complex surveys.
