Gonzalez Strength and Associates is seeking an Instrument Person to transport and set up survey instruments and prepare job sites for surveying. You will support field operations, ensuring equipment is ready and safe for the survey team.

The role emphasizes strong communication and collaboration with project staff. Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma or GED and be comfortable working outdoors, lifting and driving between sites.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Transport and set up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing job site for survey
• Clear brush or trees away from survey line
• Lays out stakes to prepare for elevation measurements
• Holding prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points
• Measures how far different points are from each other horizontally
• Helps with various pieces of survey equipment
