Job summary

JMT seeks a Survey Tech II to perform field surveying data collection and operate survey instruments for the field crew, primarily outdoors. Travel is required and some night shifts may occur.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant surveying experience.
• Good knowledge of mathematics and coordinate geometry.
• Familiarity with surveying equipment like total stations, data collectors, and GPS.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate surveying equipment to measure distances, elevations, and angles.
• Perform boundary, topography, ATLA, right of way, and route surveys.
• Maintain and operate survey equipment and data collectors; document field notes.
• Record accurate field notes and data; perform necessary calculations.
