Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Field Survey Technician to support field operations and data collection. You will work with the Party Chief to operate surveying instruments, verify elevations and distances, and coordinate with clients on site.

The role requires 1+ year in land surveying and experience with total stations and GPS equipment. Travel, background check, and drug screening are part of the process; GDOT experience is a plus. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year using data collectors and total stations.
• 1+ year land surveying experience.
• GDOT experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.
• Willing to train candidates without noted experience.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must be willing to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Collect data using company standards for descriptions and line coding.
• Assist Party Chief in running field operations.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments to measure elevations, angles, and distances.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
• Adhere to survey regulations and Accura procedures.
• Monitor daily timesheets, reports, and vehicle inspections.
• Perform calculations to establish reference points.
• Interpret maps, plats, blueprints, and specifications.
• Clean, check, and adjust instruments for accuracy.
• Oversee surveying activities in the absence of the Survey Party Chief.
• Perform related work as required.
