Job summary

BGE, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Survey Data Technician to support the survey team by processing field-collected data, preparing for mapping, and delivering accurate topo products.

The ideal candidate has experience in survey data processing, topographic data, QA/QC, and strong organizational and communication skills; a high school diploma or GED is required, with preferred associate degree.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience processing survey data or supporting survey deliverables is required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to organize multiple projects.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field logbooks and project records.
• Process and organize daily topographic survey files for drafting and mapping.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of field notes for completeness and consistency.
• Prepare finished topo data products, including surface models.
• Assist with post-construction data processing as needed.
