Job summary

BGE, Inc. is seeking a land survey professional for an office-based role in Houston, TX, with occasional field work on land development, site development, and public works projects.

The candidate will draft survey projects using AutoCAD Civil3D or Bentley MicroStation, under a Professional Land Surveyor's supervision. 2+ years’ experience required; knowledge of MicroStation (Inroads & GeoPak) is a plus. Houston or The Woodlands preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of land survey experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D
• Knowledge of MicroStation (Inroads & GeoPak) is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisor, and others

Responsibilities

• Primarily office-based with occasional field work
• Projects include land development, site development, and public works
• Draft survey projects in AutoCAD Civil3D or Bentley MicroStation
• Knowledge of Trimble Business Center (TBC) is a plus
• Create digital terrain models from field survey data
• Review and check work for quality control
• Work under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor
• Identify possible problems, and conflicts, and bring them to the supervisor’s attention
