The Survey Crew Technician will perform geodetic surveying, including public trust lands research, boundary surveys, data analysis, and processing. Responsibilities include installing antenna mounts, maintaining CORS hardware, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.
Additional duties involve wearing personal protective gear, vehicle safety inspections, excavation, concrete work, monument setting, data entry, and equipment maintenance.
NCEM enhances North Carolina's resilience through collaboration and coordination in disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. It is part of the NC Department of Public Safety.
The section manages disaster recovery programs under relevant legislation.
Applicants must demonstrate the following KSAs: experience with geodetic/boundary surveys, GNSS technology, and physical maintenance tasks. Education requirements include an associate degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or related, plus two years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
