This position qualifies for teleworking on a part-time basis as part of a State Teleworking Pilot Program. Any telework will be under the conditions of the State Teleworking Program Policy, and the employer may end any teleworking arrangement at any time at the employer’s sole discretion.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. This position's typical work hours are 8am - 5pm. It will include on-call periods to serve as the primary point of contact for emergency services coordination at the state level.
About The Survey Crew Technician Position
The Survey Crew Technician will perform geodetic surveying, including research on public trust lands, boundary surveys, data analysis, and processing. Responsibilities include installing antenna mounts, maintaining GPS receivers and hardware, troubleshooting CORS systems, and upgrading systems.
The role involves wearing personal protective equipment, conducting safety inspections, assisting in physical tasks like digging, pouring concrete, setting monuments, and recording survey data. Maintenance of survey equipment and ensuring its proper function are also required.
