Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking a permanent full-time Survey Crew Leader to join our team in Oregon. You will operate survey equipment, supervise field crews, and collect data for boundary, topographic, industrial, and construction surveys while maintaining precise field notes and maps.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate data collection, and opportunities for professional development toward LSIT/PLS exams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' experience as a Survey Crew Leader or in a closely related leadership role.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate field crews and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Operate survey equipment including Trimble RTK, GPS, laser scanners, and data collectors.
• Maintain clear, accurate field notes and maps.
• Supervise and mentor field crew; lead a one- to two-person crew.
• Collect boundary, topographic, industrial, and construction survey data.
• Perform quality control by reviewing final maps for accuracy.
• Pursue professional development and LSIT/PLS exam preparation.
