Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is hiring a full-time Survey Field Technician to work with project surveyors, field crews, and engineers on public and private sector projects. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training, growth, and the chance to advance within a collaborative team.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid OR/WA driver's license, and the ability to pass a drug screen. Expect early start times and potential travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to start work at 6:00 a.m. and work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
• Must have valid OR or WA driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass a urinalysis drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate survey instruments and data collection tools in the field.
• Travel with field crews to collect data on public and private projects.
• Receive hands-on training with GPS equipment and field gear.
• Follow AKS safety protocols and site regulations.
• Work in adverse weather conditions and difficult terrain.
• Occasionally travel out of town or overnight.
