Job summary

Strata Clean Energy seeks an experienced Survey Crew Chief to support construction surveying on utility-scale solar projects. The role is hands-on and travels to the field, converting digital design information into accurate field layouts using GPS, surface files, and DXF/XML data.

Ideal candidates bring strong field surveying experience, construction knowledge, and the ability to guide other crew members. Travel is 100% with outdoor work and safety PPE required on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience utilizing GPS surveying systems.
• Knowledgeable about current survey equipment used on sites.
• Experience with surface files, DXF/XML alignment data, and staking.

Responsibilities

• Possess a clear understanding of Surface files and their application to the work area.
• Experience with GPS surveying, as-builts, stockpile/basin volumes, staking, DXF, and XML files.
• Possess working knowledge of drawings, sketches, and prints.
• Train team members to promote efficient production within projected timelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
