Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey Crew Chief to lead a field team in data collection, boundary surveying, ALTA, and topography to support design and construction activities. Travel is extensive.

Responsibilities include operating GPS, total stations, scanners, and data collectors; mentoring crew members; coordinating with offices; and upholding safety, quality, and maintenance policies onsite and on projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lead and mentor a survey crew.
• Operate total stations and GPS in static and RTK modes for control networks, boundaries, ALTA surveys, and topography.
• Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving history; ability to travel extensively.
• OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work capability.
• Proficient with basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Lead a survey team and coordinate field operations.
• Perform field work including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA and topography.
• Organize field staking materials and equipment.
• Operate GPS, total stations, scanners, and data collectors.
• Transfer files between data collectors and project folders.
• Communicate project status and issues to office teams.
• Maintain relationships with clients and coworkers.
• Adhere to Safety, QA, and Equipment Maintenance policies.
• Ensure compliance with division and company policies.
• Lead by example with professional conduct.
