Job summary

RES Solar is seeking a Crew Chief I to lead a survey crew on RES Solar, T&D, and Preconstruction projects. You will supervise field crews conducting construction staking, control point verification, and precise data collection while upholding RES safety and quality standards.

You’ll liaise with the Field Coordinator to meet schedules and ensure organized surveying operations. Responsibilities include training Survey Technicians, maintaining equipment, and supporting UAV operations as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years construction surveying experience required.
• Proficient with Trimble SPS/CHC equipment and data collectors.
• Strong leadership and communication skills essential.
• Ability to read plans and adjust for site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead surveying technicians and coordinate daily field tasks.
• Perform construction staking, topo surveys and as-built data collection.
• Set, verify and maintain survey control points.
• Communicate workload plans and progress to Field Coordinator.
• Ensure survey equipment is calibrated, maintained and ready for use.
• Support UAV operations for mapping and data capture.
• Promote safety and RES surveying best practices.
