Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey Crew Chief to lead a field survey team in data collection, boundary surveying, ALTA, and topography to support design and construction activities.

The role involves substantial travel and coordinating with clients and office staff. You will operate GPS, total stations, scanners, and data collectors, organize staking materials, and communicate project status daily, while upholding Safety, Quality, and Equipment Maintenance

Qualifications

Ability to effectively lead a survey crew and train/mentor crew members.
Must operate a total station and GPS in static and RTK modes for control networks and ALTA/topography.
Must be able to drive with a valid license and a clean driving history.
OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid or ability to acquire it.
Ability to work independently and solve problems.
Basic office suite skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise to internal and external clients.
Perform field work for land surveying scopes including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA, and topography.
Organize field staking materials as necessary.
Operate GPS, total stations, scanners, and data collectors.
Transfer files between data collectors and internal project folders.
Provide communication to office teams regarding project status and daily progress.
Maintain productive relationships with clients and coworkers.
Adhere to Safety, Quality Management and Equipment Maintenance policies.
Ensure adherence to division, regional, and company policies.
