Job summary

W.T. Byler Co., LLC, headquartered in Houston, Texas, seeks a Survey CAD Technician to support surveying, site development, and construction operations by preparing accurate survey drawings, surface models, and construction deliverables.

You will work closely with survey crews, project managers, engineers, and construction personnel to convert field data into clear, constructible drawings for civil, site development, railroad, and infrastructure projects along the Gulf Coast region.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in survey drafting or civil drafting in CAD environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Ability to read and interpret survey field notes, plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare survey drawings, plats, exhibits, and construction support documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Process field survey data (GPS, total station, drone) to develop accurate deliverables.
• Create surface models, grading plans, alignments, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Develop topographic and boundary exhibits and construction layout drawings.
• Coordinate with survey crews, project managers, and engineering teams to ensure accuracy of deliverables.
• Maintain drawing standards, file organization, and document control procedures.
• Perform quality checks on survey data and CAD deliverables before issuance.
• Support project teams with quantity calculations and earthwork analysis.
