Job summary

Baird, Hampton & Brown is seeking a full-time Survey CAD Technician to support the RPLS in land surveying duties. You will draft boundary, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic surveys, and related drawings, and assist with field surveys when needed.

The role requires close collaboration with the RPLS, project managers, and field crews to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. Responsibilities include QA/QC of survey data, preparing field files and stakeout data, and maintaining CAD standards and project

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as survey technician working with AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Experience with Trimble robotic total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle to project sites as needed.
• Ability to work with an integrated multi-discipline team under tight deadlines and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boundary, topographic, boundary, and ALTA/NSPS survey drawings using Civil 3D.
• Draft subdivision plats, easement exhibits, and related survey deliverables.
• Process field data from total stations, robotic instruments, GNSS, and digital levels.
• Review field data for completeness and discrepancies; perform QA/QC of survey drawings and exhibits.
