Job summary

Baird, Hampton & Brown in Weatherford, TX seeks a full-time Survey CAD Technician to assist the RPLS with land surveying and draft ALTA/NSPS surveys, boundary and topographic drawings using Civil 3D. This role also performs field work when needed and supports project teams through QA/QC and data management.

Must have 2+ years with AutoCAD Civil3D and experience with Trimble equipment; ability to travel locally and work with a multi-disciplinary team under deadlines is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as survey technician with AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Experience with Trimble Robotic Total Stations, Trimble Data Collectors and GPS equipment.
• Ability to drive to various locations to complete tasks as needed.
• Ability to work with an integrated multi-discipline team under tight deadlines and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boundary, topographic, tree, construction, easement and ALTA/NSPS survey drawings using Civil 3D.
• Draft subdivision plats, easement exhibits, metes-and-bounds descriptions and other survey deliverables under supervision.
• Process and review field data collected with surveying instruments and digital levels.
• Perform deed, plat, easement, right-of-way and public-record research.
• Coordinate with project managers and field crews to resolve questions and obtain missing information.
• Maintain organized project files, CAD standards and survey databases.
