Bowman Consulting seeks a Survey CAD Technician III to join our Houston, TX team. You will prepare ALTA survey drawings, analyze field data, and deliver accurate project documents while collaborating with staff and clients.

The role requires 5+ years in survey/CAD, proficiency with Carlson/Bentley InRoads/Geopak/Revit, and an associate or equivalent experience. Local travel may be required; a license is a plus. Bowman offers comprehensive benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years in survey and/or CAD in land development/land survey.
• Proficiency with Carlson, Bentley InRoads/Geopak, Revit or similar software.
• Surveyor-in-Training certificate preferred; relevant licensure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare working drawings from ALTA surveys for final approval and submission.
• Use critical thinking and problem-solving to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
• Convert data into electronic drawings and project documents with accuracy.
• Compute horizontal/vertical positions for boundary surveys and stakeouts.
• Read client requests and municipal standards to ensure compliance.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes and measurements.
• Check plats for completeness prior to submission for review.
• Submit plots to municipal agencies for review.
• Apply knowledge of ALTA surveys, topographic and boundary surveys in daily work.
• Conduct research using Google Earth, GIS, and agency data.
• May undertake land development surveys including ALTA/topographic work.
