Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician to assist Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal descriptions, and computing survey points.

The role requires knowledge of ALTA surveys and field data processing using Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of technician experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, TBC, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills.
• 5+ years of progressive technician experience.
• Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, construction staking.
• Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center for production activities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other design services.
• Full use of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, and computing survey points.
• Process raw field data through Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D.
• Perform QA/QC checks.
• Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff.
• Ensure division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed.
• Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
