Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Jacksonville is hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician for our Surgery Team. The role involves nursing care, IV catheter placement, vital sign assessment, and independent work within a collaborative team.

Two+ years of veterinary hospital experience and rotating on-call after training are preferred. Pay ranges from $20 to $40 per hour, depending on experience and competency progression within our leveling system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two or more years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
• Ability to set up and administer intravenous fluids.
• Competency in monitoring vital signs and alerting veterinarians as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to stable patients.
• Place peripheral intravenous catheters.
• Assess vital signs and monitor patient response to therapy.
• Set up and manage IV fluids and pumps.
