Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Savannah, GA, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Team. Work schedule is 4x10 hour weekday shifts, with pay ranging from $21.50 to $35.80 per hour depending on experience and competency.

Candidate should have at least two years of veterinary hospital experience; VTS credentialing may qualify for higher compensation. A rotating on-call schedule is required after training to support the team and patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
• VTS credentialing eligible for advanced compensation.
• Must be able to work independently while supporting a team goal.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to stable patients per hospital standards.
• Place peripheral IV catheter in cephalic vein as needed.
• Perform physical exams and monitor vital parameters.
• Monitor patient response to fluid therapy and alert doctoras needed.
• Set up and manage intravenous fluids and pumps.
• Administer subcutaneous fluids.
• Troubleshoot intravenous fluid pumps and connections.
• Rotate on-call schedule after training.
