Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our team in Tampa. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system. A sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 is available.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of veterinary hospital experience and can work independently within a collaborative team. A rotating on-call schedule is required after training, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of veterinary hospital experience.
• Ability to perform pre-anesthetic exams and nursing care.
• VT/CVT preferred as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history, weight, and health status.
• Perform pre-anesthetic exams and radiographs prep.
• Provide nursing care to stable patients per hospital standards.
• Place peripheral IV catheter in cephalic vein.
• Induce, monitor, and recover patients from anesthesia.
• Identify and respond to adverse anesthetic events with clinician support.
