Qualifications

• Must hold a valid, active Surgical Technology Certification along with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong ability to teach complex medical concepts including surgical procedures, patient prepping, positioning, and clinical care in both lecture and lab environments.
• Proven capacity to manage, schedule, and review adjunct faculty while maintaining structured departmental workflows.
• A demonstrated track record of teaching and prior academic management is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Teach: Deliver live and recorded lectures for a minimum of 16 college-level courses annually, guiding students through core surgical topics and hands-on lab skills.
• Manage Department Operations: Oversee adjunct faculty, scheduling, course reviews, and daily departmental activities.
• Drive Student Success: Mentor students, provide targeted solutions, and support career readiness in surgical technology.
• Support Academic Governance: Participate in college committees, curriculum discussions, and campus service under the Academic Dean.
