Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the West Palm Beach OR on Day Shift. The role supports surgeons by scrubbing on procedures and assisting the physician, under RN supervision.

A strong emphasis is placed on ongoing competency and adherence to safety standards. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and NBSTSA accreditation with certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room.
• Assist physician in procedural areas under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Prepare and gather supplies and equipment based on the procedure card.
• Assist as secondary circulator under RN supervision.
• Report any unexpected events to RN staff promptly.
• Contribute to quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
