Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our Operating Room team. You will work under RN supervision across intraoperative phases, with full-time and part-time options and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Relocation is available for qualified candidates, and several shifts are offered to fit your lifestyle. Education paths include an Associate’s Degree or a Certificate in Surgical Technology, with an option for Experience in lieu of education.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile practice.
• Completes BLS within 30 days per AHA guidelines.
• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures and supports intraoperative care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile environment and assist with procedure setup.
• Coordinate supplies and equipment to support efficient operations.
• Ensure safe patient care and adherence to hospital policies and safety requirements.
• Perform room turnover and instrument sterilization per policy.
• Assist with patient positioning and intraoperative instrument handling.
