Job summary

Advocate Health's Wisconsin facility is seeking a Surgical Tech/Assistant for full-time, day shift in the operating room. You will perform preparatory, scrubbing and related services across multiple specialties, ensuring a sterile, efficient environment and assisting surgeons throughout procedures.

Applicants should have completed an accredited Surgical Technology program and possess strong customer service and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques used in preparing materials, supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment used in the operating room.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Performs preparatory, scrubbing and related services for surgeries.
• Maintains a clean, safe area using aseptic techniques during procedures.
• Assists with surgical cases across specialty areas.
• Transports patients and equipment as needed.
• Notifies staff of equipment and supply problems.
• Functions as Second Assistant when necessary.
