Job summary

Advocate Health's Wisconsin facility in West Allis is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. The role involves aseptic technique, assisting in a variety of procedures, and maintaining a sterile field during surgeries.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with three 12-hour shifts. Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus with relocation options. BLS certification is required within 6 months, and completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is necessary.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• No experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide a clean, safe, efficient OR area and prepare materials, supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons by gowning/gloving, preparing and draping the surgical field, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Operate and move equipment, ensure instrument sterility, and communicate any issues to staff.
• Function as Second Assistant as needed and support patient transport and room turnover.
