Job summary

Adventist Health Hanford is seeking a Surgical Tech to assist during operative procedures. The role involves handling instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring sterile technique, and maintaining patient care quality in the operating room.

Required are an Associate Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology with BLS/NCCT-ST or CST credentials; CPR/BLS preferred. Prior acute care experience is a plus; responsibilities include counts, setup, and room turnover.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology.
• Relevant acute care experience preferred.
• Licenses/certifications: CPR/BLS preferred; NCCT-ST or CST required; BLS required by facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Verifies surgery to be performed with consent forms and brings patient to assigned operating room.
• Passes instruments to surgeon during procedure and anticipates surgeon’s needs for additional supplies.
• Performs appropriate instrument counts with circulator prior to incision and after closure; prepares sterile dressings.
