Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team, ensuring sterile field maintenance and timely instrument delivery during procedures. You will assist with preparing the room, passing instruments, and verifying supplies for each case.

The role requires an Associate Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology, with preferred acute care experience. Licensure or certification from NBSTSA or AST and CPR/BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology is required.
• Relevant acute care experience is preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: NBSTSA or AST certification preferred; CPR/BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies surgery to be performed with consent forms and brings patient to assigned operating room.
• Passes instruments to surgeon during procedure and anticipates surgeon's needs.
• Prepares sterile dressings and secures dressings after incision closure.
• Checks supplies and equipment needed for the procedure and sets up sterile table.
