Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for an ambulatory, part-time role at Lahey Clinic Peabody. The position supports orthopedic, sports medicine, plastics, general, urology, gynecology and ophthalmology procedures and requires working in a fast-paced operating room with patient-centered care.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited program, potential certification within one month, and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification preferred; new hires must obtain certification within one month of hire.
• Greater than one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists and collaborates with the Circulating nurse to set up for procedures with instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Passes instruments and supplies to the surgeon at the sterile field.
• Maintains sterile field and ensures proper asepsis during procedures.
• Participates in WHO Checklist, hand hygiene and safety initiatives.
