Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Nursing - ORT credentials required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior experience in a surgical/operating room setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow aseptic technique.
• Solid communication skills for collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to handle instruments and equipment with care and precision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain operating room for surgical procedures according to established protocols.
• Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies prior to procedures.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during surgeries by anticipating their needs and passing instruments.
• Account for all surgical instruments and supplies before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards.
• Provide support in patient positioning and observation during procedures.
• Assist with room turnover and restocking to ensure surgical suites are ready for subsequent cases.
• Document information and activities accurately per facility requirements.
