Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Certified Operating Room Technician to prepare sterile supplies and maintain a sterile field during procedures. The role requires CST certification, BLS, and ORT training, with 3+ years of surgical experience preferred.

You will support the surgeon with instruments, help scrub across general, ortho, neuro, and other specialties, and assist with room turnover between cases in a fast-paced surgical department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an ORT program or equivalent training; 3+ years surgical experience preferred.
• Current CST certification and BLS certification required.
• Experience scrubbing across general, ortho, neuro, and other specialties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during cases and assist surgeon with instruments.
• Assist with turnover and room setup between cases.
