Job summary

Baptist Surgery Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses. You will prepare equipment, maintain the sterile field, and support the operating room team throughout operations.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program, certification and BLS, and at least 2 years of OR experience. Responsibilities span pre-op prep to post-procedure care and room maintenance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical technologist program.
• Certification and BLS required.
• At least 2 years' OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures
• Prepares operating room and maintains sterile field
• Follows regulations and assists with patient prep and safety checks
• Passes instruments to surgeons and assists with procedures
• Cleans, restocks, and maintains the procedure room
• Aids in specimen handling and post-procedure patient transfer
