Job summary

Baptist is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist during procedures, prepare the surgical suite, pass instruments, and maintain sterile setup according to AST guidelines. The role includes intraoperative care and technical support to ensure safe operations and optimal patient outcomes in Tennessee.

The position emphasizes ongoing education, adherence to policies, and active participation in the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of Surgical Technologist experience in an operating room.
• 20 hours of continuing education within 12 months of hire, annually.
• Hold current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through appropriate/approved accreditation body as required by state where services are rendered.
• BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE

Responsibilities

• Assists in performance of procedures for the surgical patient in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures.
• Assists in providing intraoperative care.
• Provides and utilizes equipment and supplies based on patient needs in a safely and adequate manner.
• Performs activities that demonstrate technical accountability.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities.
• Completes assigned goals.
