Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred; non-certified applicants may be considered with relevant experience.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write English.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and operative team while maintaining sterile technique and patient comfort.
• Assist surgeons in a knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain instruments and equipment using procedure preference cards.
• Inspect instruments and power equipment before use; troubleshoot and remove faulty equipment from service.
• Perform sterile preps and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Complete room turnover and assist with equipment setup and breakdown.
