Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. This role maintains accountability for surgical instruments, coordinates patient care with team members, and adheres to Mercy Service Standards and confidentiality requirements.

The position requires a High-School Diploma or GED, and BLS certification. Non-licensed/certified candidates may be considered based on experience with surgical technology. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High-School Diploma or GED required.
• Licensure: Non-licensed/certified candidates may be considered.
• Experience: Varied eligibility depending on location and experience in perioperative settings.
• Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• English: Must understand English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability for supplying surgical instruments to the surgical team.
• Coordinate care of the surgical patient with other team members.
