Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Surgical Technologist II to join the Operating Room team. You will maintain sterile technique, prepare and manage instruments, and coordinate patient care with the surgical team during procedures.

The role requires Surgical Technology experience, BLS certification, and a commitment to patient safety and Mercy Service Standards in a fast-paced environment. Shift is 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM with rotational call duties.

Qualifications

• Surgical technology experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and operative team members while maintaining sterile technique and patient comfort.
• Assist surgeons during procedures professionally and courteously.
• Ensure instruments, supplies, and equipment are available per surgeon preference cards.
• Coordinate patient care activities with the surgical team to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain patient rights, dignity, confidentiality, and safety at all times.
