Job summary

Education includes HS Diploma or GED, with preferred postsecondary certificate or associate degree in Surgical Technology; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Surgical Technology education or degree preferred (certificate/degree from accredited program).
• BLS certification required.
• Non-certified applicants may be considered with acceptable surgical technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs the primary function of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room and supplies instruments to the surgical team.
• Maintains accountability for instrument provision and supports care of the surgical patient.
• Coordinates patient care with other team members while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
