Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Two+ years of technical surgical experience preferred.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for surgical settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates surgeon needs and informs circulating nurse during procedures.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and meds prior to procedures.
• Maintains infection control and aseptic technique.
• Supports satisfaction efforts and maintains relations with physicians and staff.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects breaks in protocol.
• Supervises team members and participates in orientation and training.
• Ensures safe operating room turnover and directs ancillary staff.
