Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, and support the surgical team in maintaining sterile conditions and equipment.

The role requires 2–3 years of acute care experience, a high school diploma, and preferred NBSTSA credentials. Onsite work at 2014 Washington Street with a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years surgical technologist experience in acute care required.
• CSFA (NBSTSA) or CST credentials preferred.
• Medical Technician license NBSTSA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in time-out procedures.
• Attainment of extra supplies and equipment as needed.
• Sets up equipment independently.
• Participates as an active member of the Patient Care Team.
• Monitor and continually assess operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning on the table and covering with sterile drapes.
