Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room, prepare and transport patients, and support the surgical team. The role involves setting up equipment, passing instruments, and maintaining sterile technique in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and 3–5 years of OR experience; BLS/CST are preferred. The position is onsite with 36 scheduled hours weekly at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, with a potential $10,000

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in lieu of education is not accepted.
• BLS certification and CST preferred.
• 3–5 years operating room experience; leadership experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Participates in time-out procedures.
• Sets up equipment independently.
• Active member of the Patient Care Team.
• Monitors operating room conditions and patient needs.
• Prepares patients for surgery, including positioning.
• Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room.
