Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–3 years as a surgical technologist in acute care; 4 years preferred.
• Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room and sterile processing procedures.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in time-out procedures.
• Sets up equipment independently and assists the surgical team.
• Assists in preparing patients for surgery and maintaining sterile fields.
• Monitors operating room conditions and supplies throughout procedures.
• Counts sponges, needles and instruments with the team.
