Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to assist surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff in diverse procedures. You will help prepare the operating room, pass instruments, and ensure patient safety and sterile conditions throughout the procedure.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and either 0–1 year in a similar role or 1–2 years of experience. This onsite position supports a busy operating suite and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required; CST NBSTSA preferred.
• 0-1 year as Surgical Technologist I or similar; 1-2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Set up sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Transport patients to the operating room and assist with positioning.
• Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgical team.
• Follow sterilization techniques and maintain sterile field.
• Maintain documentation of surgical procedures and counts.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists.
• Assist in preparing the surgical site with drapes and solutions.
• Manage surgical drains and catheters as directed.
